The London Family Walking Trail

In June 1940 the forces of the Third Reich are putting the final touches to

Operation SEALION, their plan to invade Britain. Before the invasion can

be launched it is necessary for the German Air Force to gain control of the

skies over the Channel, London and southern England.

This side of the Channel, the Royal Air Force are poised to do whatever is

necessary to stop them.

Explore the Battle of Britain as experienced in London through this walking

trail. Discover sounds, sights and stories and take on our family challenges.

The trail will take around two hours to complete on foot.

An optional extension to the trail can be made by visiting Westminster

Abbey, which features a memorial chapel dedicated to the heroes of the

Battle of Britain. The extension may take a minimum of one additional hour

and entry charges apply.

This trail takes approximately two hours
