An Apprentice Working on the Future
George Allison, BAe Systems Apprentice
George Allison, BAE Systems apprentice, talks about his work on the F-35 and what it means to him.
The first project that George Allison worked on as a BAE Systems Engineering Apprentice was the F-35. This apprenticeship saw him travel to Fort Worth, Texas to work on the final assembly of the F-35 with industry partners, Lockheed Martin and the US military. Originally George hoped to become an RAF pilot but, after attending experience days hosted by the aviation industry for Air Cadets, he decided to focus on engineering.
