Mount Pleasant Airport (MPA) Crash Rescue Badge

Following the Falklands Conflict, Britain has maintained a tri-service garrison on the island including land, air and naval assets. A new military airfield was constructed for this purpose, being named Mount Pleasant Airport (MPA).

The role of the Crash-Rescue Section at MPA has since expanded from crash-rescue support for aircraft to encompass domestic fire cover at Mount Pleasant and surrounding installations and when requested provide fire-rescue assistance and advice to the Falklands Government and the wider community.
