Bristol Blenheim Mk IV
In the spring of 1940, Blenheims were used to try to stem the German invasion of Holland, Belgium and France, but they suffered crippling losses in these attacks. After the fighting in France was over, Blenheim’s were then directed to bomb, day and night, the German invasion fleet amassing in French ports such as Boulogne: an operation that incurred high losses. Our example is a Canadian built ‘Bolingbroke’ (a Blenheim with US instruments).
