Biggin Hill Memorial Museum

Biggin Hill Memorial Museum

What to expect

The museum is situated on the same site as St George’s RAF Chapel of Remembrance, built in 1951 to preserve the legacy of those who served and died at Biggin Hill during the Second World War. The museum safeguards the future of this important building.

During your visit, you can freely explore the chapel, gardens, café and shop. Your admission ticket will provide access to the exhibition spaces, as well as our discovery tablet, designed to enrich your experience through additional storytelling, special films and photographs. The objects in the museum collection are directly associated to the people who served at RAF Biggin Hill. The collection also includes objects related to remembrance, memorial and the founding of the two chapels at the airfield from 1943-1951. The museum has a full programme of events and activities from adult lectures to our family programme. We welcome visits from groups and offer benefits for eight or more. The cafe and outside terrace seating gives views over to the airfield, if you are lucky, watch the Spitfires take off from the nearby Heritage Hanger. Open Tuesday to Sunday 10am-5pm.
