Mosquito Pathfinder

A 1945 film produced by Cecil Musk Productions.

The speed and manoeuvrability of Mosquitos made them ideal for the role of a pathfinder aircraft.

Pathfinders used radio navigation equipment to locate targets. Once there, they dropped target marking flares so following bombers knew when to release their own bombs.

Pathfinder crews were drawn from some of the most experienced and skilled personnel in Bomber Command.
