Battle of Britain Monument
What to expect
Perfect for a family visit, sculptor Paul Day has designed the monument to be at a low level so that visitors can get up close and interact with it. It shows 3D scenes of the Battle, factory workers and civilians sheltering during an air raid.
Directions
The monument is easy to reach and very central, situated in Westminster at Victoria Embankment - the north bank of the Thames between the Elizabeth Tower / Big Ben and the Hungerford Bridge / Charing Cross station. It faces the London Eye on the opposite side of the river. The nearest tube station is Westminster on the Circle, District or Jubilee Lines.
